Overview:
Antibodies are the most rapidly growing form of therapeutic. High-throughput methods of characterization are essential as companies and researchers move to develop new candidates. In this webinar, Dr. Shawn Owen discusses advanced characterization techniques to assess antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and antibody-fusion proteins. For ADCs, the level of payload and site of conjugation are determined using LC/MS. For both ADCs and antibody-fusion proteins, thermal stability and binding affinity are characterized using DSC and ITC respectively. These methods can be used for the in-depth analysis of these biologics and for routine product validation.
About The Speaker: Dr. Owen is an Assistant Professor in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry department at the University of Utah. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Internal Medicine, Bioengineering, and Medicinal Chemistry Departments. His lab utilizes protein engineering and bioconjugation techniques in developing therapeutic and diagnostic platforms to enable precision medicine.
