Overview
Have you been tasked with answering any of the following or similar questions?
Will our product flow under these conditions? What are the optimal processing conditions?
Will this formulation be accepted or rejected by our sensory panel?
What is the working time for this adhesive? How strong is the final composite sample?
Will our product separate during transit? What is the shelf life?
A rotational shear rheometer is an easy-to-use, analytical tool that produces data to help quickly answer these questions and more. Rheological measurements, such as viscosity and viscoelastic characterization (G’, G”, tan δ), directly link structural properties with key material behavior, allowing users to predict processing characteristics, sensory perception, product performance, and storage stability. Knowing the relationship between material structure and processing properties allows you to tailor material formulations or processing conditions to deliver better and more successful products. However, not all rheometers are created equally. Employing a rheometer with unmatched sensitivity, ease-of-use, and versatility to quantify material behavior will accelerate product development and directly impact customer acceptance and product success.
Join TA Instruments as we share our latest innovation in rotational shear rheometers: the Discovery Hybrid Rheometer HR 10, HR 20, and HR 30. We will highlight how the brand new platforms deliver better measurements and drive deeper insight to your materials and processes. About the Speaker
Alina Latshaw is a Product Specialist for the Rheology and Rubber Testing product line at TA Instruments. Alina earned her doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, studying with Dr. Saad Khan. There she utilized the rheometer to measure the gelling characteristics of chemically reactive thiol-acrylate and UV initiated systems. She joined TA in 2013 as an applications engineer specializing in rheology and dynamic mechanical analysis techniques. As part of the product management team, Alina actively collaborates with customers on providing testing solutions for rheology and elastomer applications ranging from materials characterization to processing challenges to final product performance.
