December 17, 2013 – Dr. Cécile Monteux of Ecole Supérieure de Physique Chimie Industrielle de la Ville de Paris (ESPCI) is the most recent recipient of the Distinguished Young Rheologist award presented by TA Instruments. Dr. Monteux is a CNRS researcher whose work is focused on the dynamics of liquid interfaces. This includes dynamic wetting and interfacial rheology as related to foam, emulsion or capsule stability and the dynamics of amphiphiles at fluid interfaces.
Established in January, 2012 the Distinguished Young Rheologist award is designed to help accelerate the research of new academics through grants of rheometer equipment. Recipients of the award are nominated by a group of the most established and respected academic researchers in the field of rheology. Previous recipients of the award include Dr. Randy Ewoldt, Dr. Matthew Helgeson, Dr. Kyu Hyun, Dr. Anson Ma, and Dr. Ali Mohraz.
