Instrumentation and Software Insights of Mechanical Testing
Overviews of each session:
Instrumentation and Software Insights for Polymers and Adhesives
The world of rheology is always developing in terms of the instrumentation used to characterize polymers and adhesives. In this presentation, we will discuss some fundamentals of polymer and adhesive testing, as well as some accessories that we have introduced recently that may provide more insights into the performance of these materials. We will also discuss key features and recent developments with our Trios software program that can make rheological testing and data analysis more convenient.
Mechanical Characterization and Fatigue Testing of Biomaterials and Medical Devices
The fabrication of effective medical devices can involve materials testing at all levels of the device’s development pathway. In this talk, we will discuss the application of ElectroForce instruments to testing along this pathway to characterize materials and validate devices for a broad range of in vivo applications.
Deep Dive: Mechanical Characterization of Rubber Material via DMA
The development of new tire rubber composites to improve vehicle performance and fuel efficiency in a variety of different environmental conditions is of great interest to many rubber manufacturers. In this talk, we will discuss the application of ElectroForce instruments to carry out DMA characterization of a series of different filled rubber composites to assess their application towards more efficient tires.
