New Castle, Delaware, USA. September 14, 2016 – TA Instruments introduces the new DuraPulse™ Stent Graft Test (SGT) instrument. For more than 20 years ElectroForce stent/graft test instruments have been trusted with accelerating pulsatile durability testing for the world’s leading vascular device manufacturers. The DuraPulse SGT sets a new standard in pulsatile fatigue testing of cardiovascular medical devices including stents, stented heart valve frames, and vena cava filters.
The DuraPulse SGT incorporates a modular design with four interchangeable manifold sets (available in 12, 8, 6 and 4 tube configurations) and refined fluid flow paths that produce the highest frequency and strain combinations available. The new modular manifold allows customers to change the manifold based upon the device geometry and optimize the performance of the test instrument – more samples tested at higher frequencies. New software simplifies set-up and data acquisition and incorporates an intuitive tube scanning feature.
At the heart of every ElectroForce system is a patented, friction-free electromagnetic linear motor that can perform tests for billions and billions of cycles. ElectroForce systems include the industry’s only 10-year motor warranty. With the launch of the new DuraPulse SGTs, TA Instruments reaffirms that ElectroForce SGTs are the technology and global leader in vascular device fatigue testing.
Terry Kelly, President of TA Instruments commented: “It is exciting to make another step forward in cardiovascular fatigue testing. Customers will benefit from the instrument’s modularity, improved performance, and intuitive new software. The new DuraPulse SGT continues to advance our solutions for such a critical device area.”
The DuraPulse SGT joins a family of cardiovascular products that includes the DuraPulse Heart Valve test instrument, the 9210 Drug Eluting Stent test instrument, and the ElectroForce 3330 Multi-specimen Fatigue test instrument, giving TA Instruments the most complete portfolio of cardiovascular fatigue test instruments today.
